Why Oppo Find X doesn’t have headphone jack
The Oppo’s new flagship Find X has been officially launched for a couple of days, the highlights are all unveiled and the motorized camera design obviously created a great buzz on the market. Will the notch-phone be obsolete since then? We will know the answer in the next season when Apple release its next new iPhone. Currently I would prefer the Find X design due to the incomparable screen body ratio. It just make it right without any compromise.

You may have noticed that Oppo Find X doesn’t have headphone jack, it’s not a news after Apple took the lead from iPhone 7, but it’s a very controversial point since many customers still miss the headphone jack, why Oppo Find X doesn’t feature it? Besides the purpose of design, there’s another trigger taken by Qualcomn, Qualcomm announced its new QCC3026 headphone chip, a flash-programmable Bluetooth Audio System-on-Chip (SoC) that was purpose-built to take fully wireless headphones to the next level. What’s new with it? It saves battery life up to 50% lower than before, it’s faster and offer dedicated components for active noise cancellation and hearing augmentation. And yes, Oppo Find X features this chip, providing buyers with a fully wireless listening option right out of the box. With the decent wireless experience, who still needs wires?
Of course, if you insist to use wired or banded headphones, you can use USB-C audio if you want, and it’s currently confirmed a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter is included in the box. It would be a bit fussy when you need to charge while listening to music if you use wired headphones, however, with VOOC flash charge, it won’t take you much time to make a full charge, your device will get to 60% in about half an hour.
Obviously, Oppo Find X is the most stunning and good looking phone so far in 2018, even though there’s no headphone jack , I don’t think it can be a major reason to miss it. Whether or not other premium phone manufacturers — especially those making jackless phones — will follow Oppo’s lead and bundle headphones in-box, the technological leap being offered by Qualcomm’s new chip should mean many more exciting products will hit the market in the next two years.
