  • Data Center Design – VCAP-DCD

In case you do not pass the exam, you can retake it after ten days. After passing two VCAP tests, you will be qualified to earn the elite Certified Design Expert certification.

 

  • VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)

To earn this credential, you need to havea high level of skills in designing infrastructure for vSphere. Professionals with this certification are considered to be at the peak of their career. Before you can earn this elite credential, you are required to pass both DCA and DCD under VCAP. It is important to mention that the VCDX certification is not an exam-based certification. You need to apply for the credential with VMware after meeting all the prerequisites.

If your application is considered, you need to provide a design as well as the execution plan for a project scenario, either real or fictional. The design will detail the architectural drawings and support documents for the vSphere infrastructure. You will be required to defend your design in the presence of a team of review board after your design has been approved. If the review board team is satisfied with your design and presentation, you will be awarded the VCDX certification.
